The name that got dropped
Before it was Robinhood, Vlad Tenev and Baiju Bhatt's startup had a working name:
CashCat, with a mascot cat clutching a fistful of money. They dropped it for
something with more stature, and the cat went in a drawer for sixteen years.

A chain to deploy it on
Robinhood launched Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum L2. Within days an anonymous
community deployed the discarded name on that exact chain. It became the network's first
breakout token — the brand's own rejected mascot, running on the brand's own
infrastructure, owned by nobody in particular.
